PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cristobal Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lussy Picker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lussy Picker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Picker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bradshaw blocks a leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Picker, as that shot connected.
Picker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bradshaw.
Bradshaw doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Picker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bradshaw is able to avoid easily.
Bradshaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Picker misses with an uppercut
and Bradshaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bradshaw ducks under a wild hook from Picker.
Bradshaw takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Picker tries a low kick but Bradshaw avoids it.
Picker keeps the fight on the outside.
Picker misses with a straight right.
Bradshaw steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Picker.
Picker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Picker works Bradshaw's body with a nice hook.
Picker throws a looping overhand right but Bradshaw ducks down to avoid it.
Bradshaw on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Picker finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Picker misses with a wild combination.

Bradshaw instigates a clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Bradshaw.

Bradshaw drags the fight down to the ground.
Bradshaw seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bradshaw pushes Picker off and scrambles back to his feet.

Bradshaw moves into the clinch.
Picker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Picker is trying to force a seperation but Bradshaw has the dominant position.

Bradshaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lussy Picker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bradshaw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Picker.

and Bradshaw counters with a head kick.
Picker throws a lazy uppercut

and Bradshaw counters by clinching up.

Bradshaw ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bradshaw no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Picker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bradshaw steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Picker.

Bradshaw moves into the clinch.

Bradshaw manages to break the clinch.

Picker throws a body shot but no joy.

Bradshaw moves into range and clinches up with Picker.

Bradshaw jumps into guard, dragging Picker to the mat.

Bradshaw manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bradshaw is looking to clinch but Picker is avoiding it.

Bradshaw rushes Picker and presses him up against the cage.

Bradshaw pulls guard effortlessly.
Bradshaw is controlling Picker's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cristobal Bradshaw will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bradshaw is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
