The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puro throws a body kick that misses.
Dan Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puro slips a straight right by Ross.
Puro thinks about the counter body kick.
Puro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ross dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Ross finds it's way through Puro's defenses.
Ross fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Puro takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ross scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Puro doesn't seem bothered though.

Ross lands a really nice looking cross but Puro seems unphased.
Puro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ross paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ross fires out a quick counter leg kick but Puro just manages to avoid it.
Puro turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ross cracks Puro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Puro is rocked!
Puro moves out of range as Ross strikes.
Puro is still on wobbly legs! Can Ross finish him?

Ross misses with a straight right.
Puro seems to have recovered his senses.
Ross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Puro is trying to defend but Ross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ross content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Puro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ross is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Ross not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Ross maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Puro could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ross has cracked it and Puro is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ross!

Dan Ross spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
