Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Tr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matin Uddin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Freddy Tr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matin Uddin!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Uddin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Uddin closes the distance and clinches up with Tr, looking for a takedown. Uddin pushes Tr against the cage but Tr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Uddin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tr moves away.
Uddin jabs Tr to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Uddin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tr!
Tr is trying to control Uddin's posture but Uddin avoids it.
Tr holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tr tries to improve position but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tr regains half guard.
Tr wants to get back to his feet.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tr looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tr is trying is best to control the position here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Uddin leaves Tr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Uddin blocks the body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Uddin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tr napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tr is looking to reverse the position.

Uddin stands up.
Tr takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Uddin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Uddin blocks the strikes from Tr.
Uddin is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tr tries to kick Uddin off in order to stand up. Uddin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Tr is looking for a sweep.
Uddin wants to stand but Tr has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Uddin looks winded!
Uddin postures up.
Uddin wants to stand but Tr is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tr is pulling down on Uddin's head to control his posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Uddin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tr as he jumps to the side.
Uddin shoots in looking for a takedown but Tr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Uddin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Freddy Tr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matin Uddin.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tr lands with a slapping head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tr has Uddin up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matin Uddin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No luck for Uddin with that takedown attempt.
Tr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Uddin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Uddin dives in and grabs Tr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tr pushes down on Uddin's head and hops out.
Uddin fails with an attempt to clinch.

Uddin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Tr breaks the clinch.
Tr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Uddin pinned against the cage. Uddin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Uddin tries to sprawl but Tr drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tr decides to stand up.
Uddin is breathing heavily.
Tr doesn't manage to clinch there - Uddin circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uddin throws a combination. Tr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Uddin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Uddin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tr circles away.
Freddy Tr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matin Uddin.

Tr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tr in side control lands a decent elbow.
Tr is working Uddin over with some ground and pound from side control.
Tr trying to control the position but Uddin is working away.
We've been informed that Uddin has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Tr has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Tr working the ground and pound effectively.

Tr looking to finish with strikes here!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Uddin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uddin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tr.
Tr lands a nice shot to the head.

Uddin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tr.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Uddin is squirming around, avoiding Tr's attempts to control the action.
Tr looking to ground and pound but Uddin is blocking nicely.
Tr connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tr throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Uddin is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Tr has taken his back!
Tr connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Uddin to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tr is looking for the choke from the back position but Uddin is controlling his hands well.

Uddin defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Tr's arms.
Uddin avoids the strikes from Tr.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Tr's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Tr is striking well from the back but Uddin escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy Tr dominated that second round.
That's time! Tr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

and Uddin counters with a stiff right hand.
Tr scores with a kick to the body.
Uddin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Uddin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Uddin clinches up with Tr and pushes him back against the cage.
Uddin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A shot in the inside from Uddin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Uddin.
Tr wants to stall.
Uddin tries to break the clinch but Tr is controlling the position.
Uddin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tr successfully pulls guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Uddin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tr pulls Uddin in close to his closed guard and prevents Uddin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Uddin won't allow Tr to sweep him here.
Tr is pulling down on Uddin's head to control his posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tr is trying to keep Uddin in close.

Tr working for a triangle but Uddin defends it easily.
Tr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tr looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Uddin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Uddin has closed the distance and engaged Tr in a clinch.
Tr prevents Uddin from breaking the clinch.
Tr has Uddin pressed against the cage, preventing Uddin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Uddin lands a nice uppercut.

Tr pulls guard successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tr doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tr is trying to keep Uddin in close.
Freddy Tr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Uddin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Uddin wants to stand but Tr has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Matin Uddin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Uddin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
