The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balkon lands a jab to Kasady's midsection.
Balkon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kasady.
No joy there for Kasady, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Balkon throws a jab but it's blocked by Kasady.
Balkon fails to land with a series of punches.
Balkon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Balkon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Kasady defending well as Balkon loads up on a big left hand.
Balkon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kasady misses with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasady takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Kasady has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Balkon finds it's way round the side to connect with Kasady's head.

and Balkon counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Kasady! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Balkon!
