Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Daub!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Meighen!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meighen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Daub looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Daub blocks a head kick by Meighen.
Meighen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Meighen swats away the attempt to clinch by Daub.
Meighen pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Daub tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meighen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Meighen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Meighen throws a head kick but Daub moves out of range.
Meighen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice straight punches there by Meighen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Meighen.

Daub has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Paul Daub.

and Meighen counters with a body kick that stops Daub in his tracks momentarily.
Daub wants to clinch but Meighen slips to the side
and Meighen counters with a good low kick that Daub was not able to check.

Arthur Meighen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Meighen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
