Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Gans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kinta Tsurara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nelson Gans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kinta Tsurara!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsurara paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gans throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tsurara throws a series of punches but Gans moves out of range.
Tsurara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tsurara throws an overhand right that lands on Gans's shoulder, as Gans tries to avoid the shot.
Gans throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Gans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gans fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gans fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tsurara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some wild striking there from Tsurara.

Gans moves into range and clinches up with Tsurara.
Tsurara has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gans jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tsurara walks away with a smile on his face. Gans gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelson Gans. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tsurara scores with a three punch combo!

Gans gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kinta Tsurara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gans darts in looking for a takedown but Tsurara gets double underhooks and turns Gans into the cage.
Tsurara looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Gans will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tsurara up against the cage.
Gans keeps control of Tsurara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

A nice left hand lands by Gans.
Gans stalls.
Gans looking for a takedown.
Tsurara tries to break free but Gans pushes him back against the cage.
Gans with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tsurara is trying to force a seperation but Gans has the dominant position.

Gans pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Gans does no damage.
Gans avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gans tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tsurara defends well and Gans ends up having to push Tsurara into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gans has Tsurara pressed against the cage.
Tsurara has had enough of the clinch but Gans keeps him there for the moment.

Gans breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gans takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gans bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gans shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tsurara as he avoids it easily.

Gans takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Gans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gans lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tsurara circles away quickly and effectively.
Gans goes for a double leg but Tsurara avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tsurara continues to drive forward.

Gans manages to pull guard.
Tsurara is looking to stand up but Gans won't let him.
Tsurara throws a big elbow that misses.
Gans bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tsurara's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gans controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nelson Gans will probably get the nod.
That's time! Gans's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gans fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tsurara throws a body punch but Gans moves out of range.

Gans closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tsurara quickly recovers to half guard.

Gans seems to be working for a kimura but Tsurara defends the submission attempt.
Gans works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poor strikes thrown by Gans there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gans won't let Tsurara get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Gans with the ground and pound from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gans lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Tsurara is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Gans is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gans extends the arm and Tsurara is forced to tap!
