PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sun Hui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruroni Kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenshin has chosen Flava In Ya Ear as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hui with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hui lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hui cracks Kenshin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hui holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hui is pulling down on Kenshin's head. It's preventing any offense from Kenshin, at least for the moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kenshin wanted to stand there but Hui had control of the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kenshin cracks Hui with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hui looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kenshin finish him?

Hui is rocked!
Kenshin lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hui up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kenshin from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hui's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
