PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Boschat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Boschat and Brian Hall. Hall has chosen Shoot to thrill as his entrance music. Brian Hall is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thor Boschat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Hall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boschat doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hall tries to clinch there but Boschat circles away.

Hall closes the distance and clinches.

Hall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hall tries to clinch but Boschat moves out of range.

Hall gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hall.
Hall misses with a short punch on the inside.
Boschat working hard to break the clinch.
Hall softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Boschat wants to get back to striking at distance but Hall won't allow it.
Hall can't find room to land a body shot as Boschat controls the action.
Hall using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Boschat has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Boschat is trying to push Hall away but Hall has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Boschat can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boschat tries to break free but Hall pushes him back against the cage.
Hall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Boschat's efforts to push away.
Hall tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hall can't find room to land a body shot as Boschat controls the action.
Boschat is trying to break free.
Boschat wants to break free but Hall has control.
Boschat is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Boschat.
Hall swings wildly with an uppercut but Boschat uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boschat tries to break the clinch but Hall is controlling the position.

Hall lands a left hand that snaps the head of Boschat backwards.
Hall unloads a knee to the mid-section. Boschat lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Hall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Boschat tries to keep at a distance but Hall has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hall softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hall creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hall lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Thor Boschat has been cut.
Boschat blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Boschat can't break the clinch.
Nice body punch from Hall - that landed with a thud.
Boschat is breathing heavily.
Boschat looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Boschat is looking to break free of the clinch but Hall has double underhooks.
Hall swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Boschat is trying to break the clinch but Hall has him pressed against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hall.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A shot in the inside from Hall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall pushes Boschat back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hall lands a left hand that snaps the head of Boschat backwards.


Boschat is rocked!
Hall creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Boschat's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Boschat drops to his knees and Hall pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Hall!
Brian Hall decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
