Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Hagush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Iron has chosen Slippin as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ruslan Hagush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, John The Iron!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Iron tries to clinch up.

The Iron gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The Iron pulls Hagush in close to prevent any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Iron not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The Iron told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hagush postures up in The Iron's guard and throws a big left but The Iron blocks it.
Hagush definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The Iron wants to stand up but Hagush is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hagush avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Iron avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hagush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The Iron pulls Hagush in to control the position.

The Iron controls Hagush momentarily but Hagush frees himself.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Iron is on top in guard.

The Iron passes Hagush's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hagush tries to roll over but The Iron keeps him under control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The Iron is keen to just control but Hagush is a slippery customer.
Hagush might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The Iron drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The Iron is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hagush knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The Iron tries for a kimura but Hagush is defending well.

John The Iron dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The Iron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hagush dives in for a single leg takedown but The Iron sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
