Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Lupul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swift's entrance music is This Fire Burns by Killswitch Engage. A fine choice. Lupul is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Strangled With A Halo, Pig Destroyer. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Swift.
Lupul moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Swift circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lupul turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Greg Lupul dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Swift feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lupul uses his free foot to push down on Swift's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Swift.

Well Lupul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
