Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Eduardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odin Raveneye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eduardo comes to the cage accompanied by Numb. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Eduardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odin Raveneye!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eduardo throws a head kick that misses.
Eduardo tries to clinch but Raveneye is having none of it.
Raveneye takes one to the side of the head.
Eduardo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Eduardo throws a head kick but Raveneye moves out of range.

Raveneye blocks a head kick by Eduardo.
Raveneye let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Eduardo looks for the body kick but Raveneye saw that one coming.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Our sources have told us that Eduardo has been working on his elbows in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eduardo looking to throw knees to the head but Raveneye is blocking nicely.

Eduardo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raveneye.

and Raveneye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Eduardo is trying to break free.

Eduardo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eduardo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Raveneye blocks a low kick nicely.
A countering left hand to the body from Raveneye misses.
Eduardo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Raveneye will feel that in the morning.
Eduardo wants to land a leg kick but Raveneye is out of range.
Raveneye appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Carlos Eduardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eduardo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Eduardo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Eduardo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raveneye keeps the fight on the outside.
Raveneye thuds his right hand into Eduardo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Carlos Eduardo has been cut.

Eduardo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Eduardo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Raveneye.
Eduardo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raveneye manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Eduardo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Raveneye.
Eduardo moves out of range of the body kick from Raveneye.
Eduardo looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Eduardo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Eduardo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Raveneye swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Eduardo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eduardo doesn't manage to clinch there - Raveneye circles away.
Eduardo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Eduardo tries to clinch but Raveneye moves out of range.
Raveneye blocks a head kick by Eduardo.
A countering left hand to the body from Raveneye misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eduardo throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Raveneye doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Raveneye ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Eduardo moves away.
Eduardo lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Eduardo throws a low kick, looking for Raveneye's leg but Raveneye calmly moves out of range.
Eduardo is looking to clinch but Raveneye is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Eduardo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Raveneye paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Raveneye escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eduardo closes the distance looking to clinch
and Raveneye connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Carlos Eduardo's cut is getting worse.
Eduardo wants to clinch but Raveneye slips to the side
and Raveneye counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Eduardo out cold! What a finish! Raveneye is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Odin Raveneye!
Odin Raveneye seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
