The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner scores with a jab to the body.

Turner gets to his feet - Holden follows without any prompting.
Holden takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Holden shoots for a takedown but Turner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Turner lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Holden at a distance.

Holden is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Turner's half guard.

Holden seems to be looking for submissions.
Holden wants to take a breather but Turner is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner is trying to get back to full guard.
Well, if Holden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Turner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Holden trying to control but Turner is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Turner tries to get to full guard but Holden has control of the leg.
Holden is looking to advance position but Turner won't allow it.

No joy there for Turner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A close round but Bryce Holden will probably get the nod.

Turner tries to sprawl but Holden drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Turner is trying to stand up here but Holden is controlling him well.

Holden is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Turner defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holden seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Turner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Turner is doing well to control the position and prevent Holden from advancing to side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Turner swings for the body but Holden moves out of range.
Holden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Holden uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Turner.
Turner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Holden.
Turner throws a right and a left that both miss.
A jab from Turner finds it's way through Holden's defenses.
Holden displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Turner throws out the jab.

Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Holden.

Turner takes the fight into the clinch.

Turner has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Holden clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bryce Holden has got the better of the ground game so far.
Holden trying to get back to his feet but Turner is in full control for now.
Turner gets his hands free as Holden looks to control.

Holden is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Turner controlling the position well here. Holden rolled but Turner kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Holden is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Turner is persistently looking for the submission but Holden is defending it well.

Holden turns into Turner and is now in his guard.
Holden wants to stand but Turner has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Turner has Holden pulled in close to control his posture.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Turner dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Holden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Turner connects with a body shot that sends Holden's belly button to the back.

Holden shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense.
Holden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turner's waist but Turner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holden off to one side.
Steven Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryce Holden.

Holden is looking to clinch.

Turner is trying to maintain the position but Holden is very close to passing his half guard.
Turner gets back to full guard.

Turner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Holden stands and throws Turner's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Turner defending against the ground and pound.
Holden tries to move to mount but Turner blocks the move with his legs.

Holden tries for a kimura but Turner is defending well.
Holden passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Turner!

Holden jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Turner is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Turner and Holden has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Holden is looking to take a break and control but Turner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Holden misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
You can see the frustration on Turner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Turner trying to remain calm as Holden controls from the top position.
Holden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Turner is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Holden has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Holden slips a straight right by Turner.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steven Turner showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Turner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Steven Turner rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
