Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conor McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor MCconnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCracken's entrance music is Rebels Song - Come out and Fight. A fine choice. Gregor MCconnor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor McCracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregor MCconnor!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McCracken just misses with a punch to the body.

MCconnor forces McCracken back against the cage and clinches.
McCracken fails to pull guard.

MCconnor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MCconnor slips under a jab.

McCracken shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. MCconnor is trying to defend but McCracken finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
MCconnor looks like he's trying to stand up.

McCracken is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McCracken perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

McCracken is trying to work for a kimura but MCconnor is defending well.
McCracken works his foot free and advances to mount.

MCconnor defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from McCracken.
McCracken trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McCracken is really struggling to control MCconnor but he's trying to hold on to the position.
MCconnor wants to try and get back to his feet.

McCracken looking to secure an arm triangle but MCconnor defends it well.
McCracken trying to control but MCconnor is having none of it.

McCracken goes for an armbar but MCconnor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from MCconnor.
MCconnor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McCracken has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but MCconnor has passed into side control.
McCracken tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MCconnor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

You can see the frustration on McCracken's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McCracken is looking to reverse the position.
McCracken is trying to control MCconnor's posture but MCconnor avoids it.
McCracken tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McCracken manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
McCracken is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Team Meanor MMA™, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

McCracken is trying to get back to full guard.
MCconnor tries to stand and escape but McCracken is controlling the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



MCconnor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCracken, pushing him back against the cage.
McCracken is trying to pull guard but MCconnor turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
McCracken tries to pull guard but MCconnor holds him up against the cage and eventually McCracken drops back down to his feet.

MCconnor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
MCconnor lands the left hand.

McCracken bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McCracken moves into full mount!

McCracken looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

MCconnor defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from McCracken.

MCconnor wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
MCconnor blocking the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCracken moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, MCconnor has worked his arm free - good work by MCconnor!

McCracken wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by MCconnor, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McCracken tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McCracken is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. MCconnor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

McCracken is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but MCconnor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

McCracken tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

MCconnor avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McCracken.
McCracken wants to control but MCconnor is keeping him busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
MCconnor is pushing McCracken's head away, looking to escape. McCracken manages to hold on to the position though.

McCracken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McCracken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McCracken is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. MCconnor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

MCconnor throws a body shot but no joy.
McCracken tries to counter with a takedown but MCconnor is quick to defend against it.

The crowd cheers as MCconnor lands an impressive looking overhand right. McCracken doesn't seem phased though.
MCconnor throws a good cross that connects.
MCconnor lands a head shot.
McCracken ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
MCconnor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCracken throws out the jab.
McCracken throws a body punch but MCconnor moves out of range.
MCconnor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McCracken defends it well.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCracken gets cracked there but stands up to it.

MCconnor scores with a shot to the body.
MCconnor might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
McCracken uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from MCconnor.

McCracken closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming MCconnor to the mat! MCconnor manages to get full guard.

McCracken is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! MCconnor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! MCconnor has escaped and now he's on top!


McCracken is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

McCracken wants to sweep here but MCconnor controlling him for the moment.

McCracken escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MCconnor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
My spies in ~T~ Troid - Gym inform me that MCconnor has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

McCracken working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MCconnor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but McCracken is tightening it up a little... MCconnor has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! MCconnor reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! MCconnor taps out! Nice BJJ there by McCracken!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Conor McCracken!
After winning the bout, Conor McCracken thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
