PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Putski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueroa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ride the Lighting. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Putski.
Figueroa clobbers Putski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Figueroa connects with a leg kick. Putski looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Figueroa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Putski's hands.
Putski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Putski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Figueroa to the ground. Putski is now in Figueroa's guard.

Putski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Putski is aggressively charging in as Figueroa backs up avoiding any damage. Figueroa tosses out a jab and Putski runs right into it face first! Putski is out cold! Figueroa dropped down on all fours and is barking in Putski's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
