Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuya Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuya Inoue could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Barnes's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Barnes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoue slips a jab from Barnes.
Barnes misses with an uppercut

and Inoue counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barnes won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Inoue lands some shots froms side control.

Inoue tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Inoue has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Inoue misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Barnes parries the strikes from Inoue easily there. Inoue is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barnes to escape.
You can see the frustration on Barnes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Inoue is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barnes has escaped the position, nice work there.

Inoue wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barnes, who protects the arm well.

Inoue is trying to get an arm triangle but Barnes is defending well.

Inoue swings around for an armbar but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Inoue's guard.

Inoue escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barnes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Inoue utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Inoue wants to sweep here but Barnes controlling him for the moment.

Inoue has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Barnes doesn't defend quickly enough and Inoue has managed to lock this one up! Can Barnes escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Inoue on a fantastic submission victory.
