PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Avro Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Concealed Weapon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Concealed Weapon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancaster lands a jab to Weapon's midsection.
Lancaster feints and then cracks Weapon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Weapon down.
Lancaster is looking to land body kicks.
Weapon avoids the body shot from Lancaster.
Weapon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lancaster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lancaster throws a low kick, looking for Weapon's leg but Weapon calmly moves out of range.
Lancaster throws a jab but it's blocked by Weapon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lancaster drops Weapon with a beautiful combination! Weapon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lancaster is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Weapon.
Weapon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

A jab from Lancaster finds it's way through Weapon's defenses.

Weapon seems to have recovered his senses.

Lancaster cracks Weapon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lancaster has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Weapon to stand back up!

Lancaster pivots, looking for a leg kick but Weapon is out of range and Lancaster settles back down.

Weapon tries a low kick but Lancaster avoids it.

Weapon moves out of range of the body kick from Lancaster.
Lancaster throws a leg kick but Weapon sees it coming and moves out of range.
Weapon throws a solid leg kick but Lancaster takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Weapon.
Lancaster looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lancaster lands with a straight right. Weapon didn't see that one coming.
Weapon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Weapon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Weapon misses with a leg kick.

Lancaster will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lancaster attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Weapon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lancaster misses with a series of wild punches.
Weapon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That kick from Lancaster tenderised Weapon's leg. Weapon is trying to keep his angry face on.

Lancaster dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Weapon. That did some damage!
Lancaster lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

It looks like Avro Lancaster has been cut.
Lancaster tries to land a front kick but Weapon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Weapon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Weapon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lancaster. Lancaster obviously looking to wear him down.
Avro Lancaster is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lancaster clobbers Weapon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Lancaster avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lancaster uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Weapon has time to react.
Weapon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Weapon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lancaster.
A left lands for Lancaster.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lancaster, as that shot connected.

Lancaster lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Weapon throws a solid leg kick but Lancaster takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Weapon.
Lancaster throws a nice inside leg kick.
Lancaster catches Weapon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lancaster cracks Weapon with a hook to the temple - Weapon is on wobbly legs here! Lancaster swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Weapon falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Lancaster wins by TKO!
