The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VonQulik looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Angel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. VonQulik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. VonQulik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Angel is looking for a triangle but VonQulik pushes his legs off easily.
VonQulik wants to pass the guard but Angel is keeping the position.
Angel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. VonQulik is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Angel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take VonQulik's back instead.
VonQulik rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

VonQulik looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Angel is defending well. VonQulik quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Angel has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! VonQulik celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
