The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Condit.
Submission will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Submission shoots in and drives through. Condit sprawls well.
Submission shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Condit but Condit pushes him off and we're back to square one.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Submission is on top in guard.

Condit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Submission gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Submission slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Submission thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Condit is letting Submission control him for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Submission is looking for a triangle but Condit pushes his legs off easily.
Condit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Submission swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Submission is trying to hold Condit in close to prevent damage but Condit has managed to pass into half guard.

Submission has his foot on Condit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Condit works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Condit postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Submission is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Condit, into his guard.

Condit swings around for an armbar but Submission sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Condit's guard.
