The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondego moves out of range of the body kick from Portman.
Mondego stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mondego wants it to stay on the feet.
Mondego clinches.
Mondego gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Portman being controlled here, momentarily.
Mondego passes into half guard.
Mondego looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mondego works his foot free and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mondego is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Portman tries to hold on but Mondego pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mondego is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Portman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Portman shrugs it off.

Portman takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Mondego's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
