Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alberto Caesar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Melcher!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melcher tries to work over Caesar's front leg with a kick but Caesar checks it.
Melcher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Melcher tries to clinch but Caesar moves away

so Caesar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Melcher keeping moving, preventing Caesar from controlling successfully.
Caesar is looking to work some ground and pound but Melcher has wrist control.

Caesar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Alberto Caesar will probably get the nod.

Caesar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Caesar is staying tight to Melcher's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Caesar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Caesar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
