Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillon Pittsenbarger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Dmx Intro. Pittsenbarger has chosen The O'Jays - Back Stabbers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dillon Pittsenbarger acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dillon Pittsenbarger!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pittsenbarger moves to clinch but Jones breaks away

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.
Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pittsenbarger is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Pittsenbarger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jones clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Pittsenbarger wants to control the position but Jones frees himself and scrambles - Pittsenbarger manages to regain control in side control.
Pittsenbarger tries to stand but Jones is controlling his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Pittsenbarger stands up and beckons Jones to his feet.

Pittsenbarger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones has been working on his balance at Soco na mãe - Stand Up Striking, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Pittsenbarger.

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Pittsenbarger didn't expect that.

Pittsenbarger pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet.

Pittsenbarger moves to clinch but Jones breaks away
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pittsenbarger tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Pittsenbarger.
Pittsenbarger tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones dives in and grabs Pittsenbarger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pittsenbarger pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.

Dillon Pittsenbarger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Pittsenbarger shows good takedown defense.
Pittsenbarger tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pittsenbarger has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pittsenbarger wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Pittsenbarger has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Jones is looking for the choke from the back position but Pittsenbarger is controlling his hands well.

Pittsenbarger is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pittsenbarger enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pittsenbarger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jack Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Jones dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones tries for a takedown but Pittsenbarger circles away easily
and Pittsenbarger counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Pittsenbarger to acknowledge the strikes.
Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pittsenbarger counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.

Pittsenbarger is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Pittsenbarger manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pittsenbarger is posturing up here but Jones has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Pittsenbarger tries to roll out but it's too tight and Pittsenbarger has to tap! Slick submission there by Jones!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Jones!
