Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Austin Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aurelius Schultes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fowler comes to the cage accompanied by "On The Hunt" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler with a poor takedown
and Schultes counters with a low kick, right behind Fowler 's knee.
Fowler shoots in and drives through. Schultes sprawls well.
Schultes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Schultes counters with a body kick that stops Fowler in his tracks momentarily.

Schultes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fowler's head.
Schultes wants to pass the guard but Fowler is defending well.

Schultes told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

It looks like Austin Fowler has been cut.
Schultes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Fowler tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Schultes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fowler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schultes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Schultes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Schultes arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Fowler's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
