Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Musashi Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Gamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kato comes to the cage accompanied by 神風 Musashi Kato is gyrating in front of the ring girls. Gamer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. krolithika kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Musashi Kato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Gamer!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato misses with a body kick.
Kato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gamer moves away.
Gamer checks a leg kick.
Kato lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A left lands for Kato.
Kato misses with a body shot.
Kato scores with a one two! Gamer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Edward Gamer has been cut.
Musashi Kato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gamer throws a sloppy head kick and Kato moves out of range easily.
Gamer walks into a straight right hand from Kato.
Kato lands with a kick to the temple. Gamer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kato, right into the meat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gamer throws a looping overhand right but Kato ducks down to avoid it.

Gamer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kato finds it's way round the side to connect with Gamer's head.

Kato throws a solid leg kick but Gamer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kato.

and Kato decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gamer's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Gamer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gamer throws a leg kick
and Kato counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gamer's knee momentarily.
A punch combination from Kato misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gamer. That's going to slow Kato down.

Kato shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gamer's guard.

Gamer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kato.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The fighters circling - Gamer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kato takes a swing at Gamer's ribcage but misses.
Kato lands with a nice combination. Gamer backs away looking to recover.

Kato is looking to wear down Gamer with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Gamer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gamer wants to slow Kato down by chopping away at his legs.
Kato shoots for a double leg takedown but Gamer sprawls well. He's pushed Kato's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kato throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kato is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gamer can do to turn this around?

Kato's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gamer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kato scrambles back to his feet.

Kato stalks Gamer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gamer's face. Gamer staggers backwards, shaken.
Kato connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kato bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gamer misses with a head kick.
Gamer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Gamer dips to his left and cracks Kato with an uppercut!

Kato throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looks like Kato has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Gamer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kato. Kato circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gamer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kato has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kato and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kato throws a low kick, looking for Gamer's leg but Gamer calmly moves out of range.

Gamer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kato.
Kato throws out a leg kick but Gamer moves out of range and Kato only half commits.

Kato throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Gamer has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kato.

Kato throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gamer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gamer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Kato throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Kato counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gamer!

That has opened up Edward Gamer's cut even more.

Musashi Kato overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kato seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
