The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makela wants to clinch but Lakupekka slips to the side
and Lakupekka counters with a series of strikes. Makela will be more careful next time no doubt.
Makela closes the distance but Lakupekka moves to the side
and Lakupekka counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sloppy strikes from Lakupekka. Those never looked like landing.
Lakupekka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Makela doesn't seem bothered though.

Lakupekka is pawing at Makela, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Makela's nose. Makela is badly hurt! Lakupekka pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Makela tries desperately to hold on but Lakupekka is relentless in his assault! As Makela receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Lakupekka away and this one is in the books!
