Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clemens Schnur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clemens Schnur is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Trujillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clemens Schnur!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schnur closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Trujillo's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Schnur wants to control from the top but Trujillo keeps moving.
Trujillo wants to stand and escape but Schnur is having none of it.

Schnur decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Schnur moves into the clinch successfully.
Trujillo has Schnur pushed against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Schnur as Trujillo tries to tie him up.
Trujillo is trying to pull guard but Schnur turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Schnur jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trujillo postures up in Schnur's guard and throws a big left but Schnur blocks it.

Schnur will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Schnur manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Trujillo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Trujillo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schnur walks away with a smile on his face. Trujillo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Clemens Schnur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schnur throws a series of punches but Trujillo moves out of range.
Trujillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schnur is fending him off so far but Trujillo persists. Nope, Schnur circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Trujillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trujillo avoids a punch combination nicely.

Schnur manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Trujillo on his heels. He'll look to pass Trujillo's guard now, I'm sure.

Trujillo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Schnur tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Schnur wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trujillo keeps working.

Schnur stands up and beckons Trujillo to his feet.

Schnur shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Trujillo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Schnur trying to control the position from guard on top but Trujillo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Schnur gets to his feet. Trujillo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Schnur closes the distance and clinches.

Trujillo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schnur swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Trujillo counters with a solid body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Schnur keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Trujillo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clemens Schnur dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Schnur shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trujillo is trying to defend but Schnur finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Trujillo wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Trujillo tries to lock up and control but Schnur gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Trujillo tries to reverse the position but Schnur maintains control.
Trujillo holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Schnur tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Schnur is landing with some decent strikes but Trujillo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Schnur misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Schnur has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Trujillo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Schnur is keeping busy.
Trujillo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Schnur smiles and moves away.

Schnur is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Trujillo is hurt! He's hurt bad - Schnur fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Trujillo from any more punishment! Congratulations to Schnur! Great finish!
