Octavius is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Capital Steez-Shooting Stars. Gaius Octavius is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaius Octavius!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Octavius shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense.
Taylor scoring well with a low kick there.
Octavius throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely.
Taylor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Octavius looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Taylor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Octavius back to the cage. Taylor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Octavius looks for a takedown but Taylor sprawls well.
Gaius Octavius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Octavius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Octavius closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Octavius just misses with a punch to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Octavius with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taylor to score with a decent uppercut.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Taylor.
Octavius looks winded!
Good exchange - Octavius coming out on top.
Taylor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Taylor bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Taylor lands with a shot to the body.
Taylor scores with a head kick. Octavius tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Taylor sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Octavius to the ground! Taylor dives into full mount looking to finish!

Octavius is still in real trouble! Can Taylor finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor with a couple of short strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Octavius goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Taylor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jimmy Taylor!
Jimmy Taylor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Gaius Octavius stepped up to the mic, saying 'It is all good. next time I will come out more prepared and bring more than 100% I will most likely bring out 1,000,000% of all I got and will come out with the victory instead of the loss I took'.
