Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Hoskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake Hoskins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoskins looking to score a takedown here. Morrow is defending well but Hoskins drives through and ends up in Morrow's guard.
Hoskins is looking to pass into half guard but Morrow pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Morrow is in guard.

Hoskins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morrow defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Blake Hoskins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Morrow has his takedown stuffed

and Hoskins counters with a takedown into side control.
Morrow is looking to reverse the position.
Hoskins wants to control but Morrow is keeping him busy.

You can see the frustration on Morrow's face as Hoskins controls the position.
Hoskins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
