The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rutger keeps the fight on the outside.

Rutger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Starr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
An elbow from Rutger crashes against the mat.
Rutger looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Starr is avoiding damage well.
Rutger cracks Starr with a big elbow.
Starr is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rutger is controlling him well.
Rutger works to advance to full mount. Starr defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
