The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.
Smith throws the left hand but Rose avoids the punch easily.
Rose uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Rose dives in and scores a takedown into Smith's guard.
Smith is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
