The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hummel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hummel misses with a double jab.
Peters tries for a takedown but Hummel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Peters moves into range and clinches up with Hummel.
Hummel is trying to pull guard but Peters turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Peters is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Peters tries to circle away but Hummel has him pinned against the cage.
Hummel is trying to push Peters away but Peters has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Peters tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hummel breaks the clinch.
Peters looks for a takedown but Hummel sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cyrus Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Peters gets a clinch.

Peters drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hummel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Peters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hummel as he jumps to the side.
Peters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hummel swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hummel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Peters under the eye.

It looks like Cyrus Peters has been cut.
Peters stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Peters wants it to stay on the feet.
Hummel lands a jab.

Hummel is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Peters is in big trouble! Hummel is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Peters. Poor guy.
