Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reynaldo Cotton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee Bro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bee Bro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cotton on his heels. He'll look to pass Cotton's guard now, I'm sure.
Cotton is wriggling around but Bro manages to pass to half guard.
Bro prevents Cotton from improving his position.
Bro performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Cotton tries to get to full guard but Bro has control of the leg.
Bro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cotton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bro seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cotton throws a big right hand that misses.
Cotton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Cotton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bro works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bro controls Cotton momentarily but Cotton frees himself.

Cotton is working Bro over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Cotton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cotton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bro.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bee Bro wasn't active enough on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bee Bro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cotton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bro decides to stand back up. Bro steps back and let's Cotton get back to his feet.

Bro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cotton's guard.

Cotton dodges the punch combination from Bro.
Bro tries to work over Cotton's front leg with a kick but Cotton checks it.
Cotton darts in looking for a takedown but Bro gets double underhooks and turns Cotton into the cage.
Cotton can't find room to land a body shot as Bro controls the action.
Cotton tries to work over Bro's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cotton tries to land knees in the clinch but Bro avoids the damage to the body.
Cotton is pushing Bro up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Bro wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bro works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Cotton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bro looking to sit in guard and control but Cotton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cotton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cotton trying to control the position but instead, Bro has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cotton into the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bro just misses with a elbow thrown towards Cotton's brow.

Cotton has picked Bro up - he's going for a ride! Cotton dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Cotton has his foot on Bro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bro works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
