Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Smoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bradley Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Smoshi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smoshi.
Smoshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kane misses with a two punch combination.

Kane has managed to clinch.
Smoshi is looking for a takedown.
Bradley Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Smoshi.
Kane tries to pull guard but Smoshi holds him up against the cage and eventually Kane drops back down to his feet.
Smoshi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kane after a bit of a struggle.

Smoshi is trying to force a seperation but Kane has the dominant position.
Smoshi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smoshi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kane defends it nicely.
Kane could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Smoshi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Smoshi misses with a wild body shot.
Kane wants to clinch up but Smoshi keeps it at a distance.
Smoshi darts in looking for a takedown but Kane gets double underhooks and turns Smoshi into the cage.

Kane breaks the clinch.
Kane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No luck for Smoshi with that takedown attempt.
Smoshi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kane as he jumps to the side.

Kane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kane wants it to stay on the feet.
Kane misses with a double jab.
Kane's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kane duly obliges.
Smoshi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kane circles away.
Smoshi looks winded!
Kane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smoshi is defended easily by Kane.
Smoshi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kane shoots in and drives through. Smoshi sprawls well.
Kane throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smoshi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kane throws a nice looking combination but Smoshi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smoshi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smoshi off to one side.
Smoshi circles away from the clinch attempt
and Smoshi counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Smoshi to acknowledge the strikes.
Kane throws a leg kick which misses Smoshi's front leg but catches the back leg as Smoshi tries to avoid it.

Smoshi tries to sprawl but Kane drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smoshi wants to get back to full guard but Kane has passed into side control.
Kane happy to just control the position for now.
Smoshi is looking to regain half guard here but Kane keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smoshi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kane asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Smoshi moves into the clinch.

Kane pulls Smoshi into guard.
Smoshi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Smoshi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Smoshi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smoshi won't allow Kane to sweep him here.
Kane wants to get back to his feet but Smoshi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Smoshi gets a clinch.
Smoshi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kane just stands there and leans against the cage.

Smoshi tries to score a body lock takedown but Kane shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smoshi lunges at Kane with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kane's hand.
Kane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smoshi.

Smoshi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kane connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smoshi some visible discomfort.

Kane stands up and beckons Smoshi to his feet.
Brandon Smoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smoshi scores with a nice right hand.
Smoshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smoshi.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kane closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smoshi.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kane turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smoshi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Smoshi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kane paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smoshi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Smoshi shoots for a double leg takedown but Kane sprawls well. He's pushed Smoshi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smoshi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I would just about give that final round to Brandon Smoshi.
Well Kane has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
