Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinan Cavus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sinan Cavus will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bradley Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sinan Cavus!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cavus's waist but Cavus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kane off to one side.
Kane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cavus.
Cavus cracks a nice hook into Kane's ribs.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cavus.

Cavus forces Kane back against the cage and clinches.

Kane manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cavus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cavus throwing strikes but missing.
Cavus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kane looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cavus puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kane trying to control from the bottom.
Cavus is taking a breather. Kane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kane could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sinan Cavus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cavus circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cavus clinches with his opponent.
Cavus is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kane is defending well for now.
Cavus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kane has him pressed against the cage.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cavus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cavus.
Bradley Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sinan Cavus.
Kane throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cavus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kane as he avoids it easily.
Kane misses with a jab, cross combination.

Cavus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kane, pushing him back against the cage.
Cavus is struggling to control the position.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cavus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kane can pounce on him.
Kane connects with a high kick.

Cavus shoots in looking for a takedown but Kane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cavus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cavus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cavus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kane counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kane swats away the attempt to clinch by Cavus.

Cavus gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cavus catches Kane with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Sinan Cavus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cavus fails with a takedown attempt.

Cavus clinches up against the cage.

Kane wants a takedown but no success here.
Kane fails to pull guard.
Cavus tries for a takedown. No joy.

Kane jumps into guard, dragging Cavus to the mat.
Kane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cavus is one step ahead there.
Cavus trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom.
Cavus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cavus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kane misses with the combination.

Cavus takes the fight into the clinch.
Kane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cavus walks away with a smile on his face. Kane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cavus closes the distance and clinches.
Kane can't break the clinch.

Kane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kane blocks a leg kick.
Cavus goes for a double leg but Kane avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kane continues to drive forward.
Cavus has Kane pressed against the cage, preventing Kane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kane tries to pull guard but Cavus forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kane is trying to break free.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cavus gets control of Kane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cavus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kane with a flurry of punches that miss.

Cavus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kane won't allow Cavus to get back to his feet.
Kane won't allow Cavus to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cavus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard.
Cavus is stalling in the full guard.

Kane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Cavus throws a big elbow that misses.
Cavus tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard.
Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cavus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kane wants it to stay on the feet.
Cavus dives in for a single leg takedown but Kane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sinan Cavus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kane leaves Cavus with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bradley Kane.
Well Cavus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
