Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Christopher, pushing him back against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Christopher has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Christopher looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hoover has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Christopher clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Hoover is persistently looking for the submission but Christopher is defending it well.

Hoover lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Christopher.

Hoover is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hoover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hoover cracks Christopher with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hoover rushes Christopher and presses him up against the cage.
Christopher turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Christopher manages to end up in side control.

Wally Hoover dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wally Hoover.
