Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Whitfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Datsik might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Let The Rhythm Hit Em. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Syd Datsik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Whitfield!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Datsik misses with a looping left.
Datsik misses with a left hand
and Whitfield counters with a head kick. That will keep Datsik thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Whitfield lets loose with a powerful body kick. Datsik will feel that in the morning.
Whitfield throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Decent striking displayed by Whitfield there.
Datsik uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Kevin Whitfield has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Datsik loads up on a big right hand but Whitfield slips the punch.
Datsik stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Whitfield.
A nice combination there by Datsik.
Datsik misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Whitfield has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Datsik gets a clinch.
Datsik blocks an uppercut.
Whitfield throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Datsik lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Datsik pushes Whitfield back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Whitfield manages to break the clinch.
Datsik throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Whitfield.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Datsik throws a poor cross that misses
and Whitfield makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Datsik misses with a hook
and Whitfield counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Datsik is breathing heavily.
Whitfield scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Datsik doesn't seem bothered though.
Datsik misses with a combination
and Whitfield counters with a head kick that wobbles Datsik - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Whitfield sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Whitfield!
