Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francois Permitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odinson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Permitis defends it nicely.

and Permitis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Odinson's guard.

Permitis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've been hearing that Permitis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Odinson tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Permitis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Odinson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Odinson wants to hold on but Permitis pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Odinson reaches up to try and control the position but Permitis seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Odinson rolls and tries to escape and now Permitis has his back!

Permitis is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Odinson with him. Odinson is trying to defend but Permitis has an arm under the chin now! Odinson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
