The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson sizes up Romero with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jackson shoots and misses
and Romero counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Romero moves out of range easily.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson closes the distance but Romero moves to the side
and Romero counters with a leg kick.

Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Romero tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Romero's guard.
Romero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Romero looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
