The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Weidman swats away the attempt to clinch by Martinez.
Martinez tries to clinch but Weidman moves out of range.
Martinez tries to clinch but Weidman is having none of it.
Martinez closes the distance looking to clinch

and Weidman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Martinez won't be happy with that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Martinez seems a little lost for a moment, as Weidman dominates the positioning.

Weidman has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Martinez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Weidman yanks on the arm and Martinez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Weidman.
