The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patton fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Berzins drives through and clinches with Patton against the cage.
Berzins lands a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Patton's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Patton goes for a takedown in the clinch but Berzins prevents it.
Dominic Berzins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Patton.
Berzins throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pattons head.
Berzins lands with a short shot to the head.
Berzins lands a hook to the side of the head.
Berzins is pressed up against the cage. Patton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Berzins down to the mat. Berzins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Berzins connects with a superb combination that knocks Patton out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Berzins before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Patton!
