Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Son's Gonna Rise By: Citizen's Cope. Andre Floyd acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Floyd!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Floyd gets the takedown into side control.
King tries to improve position but can't.
King manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Floyd drops an elbow to the side of King's head.
King is looking for a sweep. Floyd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

King throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
King has momentary wrist control but Floyd slips an elbow through the middle.

King looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Floyd passes into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Floyd decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet.
King throws a right and a left that Floyd avoids nicely.
King fails with the takedown

and Floyd counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
King is breathing heavily.
Floyd prevents King from improving his position.
Floyd controlling the action here.
King tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King landing strikes from the bottom.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Floyd takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Floyd stands up and beckons King to join him on the feet.

Floyd moves into the clinch successfully.
Floyd wants a takedown.

King manages to pull guard.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
Floyd works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Floyd sitting and controlling from the half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Floyd wants to take a breather but King is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King wants to improve his position but Floyd is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Floyd in particular looking to stall.
King misses with some strikes from the bottom.
King missing with punches from the bottom.
Floyd is pressing down on King's thigh, looking to free his foot. King is holding on for now.
Floyd is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

King throws a head kick that misses.

Floyd shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
King wants to improve his position but instead Floyd has moved into half guard.
Floyd is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Floyd is taking a breather. King says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Floyd dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Floyd wants to clinch.
Floyd moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
King tries to clinch up

and Floyd counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for King!
King is looking to improve his position but Floyd isn't that keen on the idea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
King regains half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Floyd working the head and body with strikes.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Floyd won't allow King to sweep him here.
Floyd trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King wants to sweep but no luck.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Floyd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Floyd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King wants to sweep here but Floyd controlling him for the moment.
Floyd trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

King gets caught flat footed, as Floyd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Floyd trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Floyd gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Floyd throws a leg kick that is checked
and King counters with a body kick.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
King throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Floyd's head.
Andre Floyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Floyd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
King tries for a takedown but Floyd circles away easily

and Floyd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Floyd passes into half guard.

King pushes Floyd off and gets back to his feet.
King misses with a jab, cross combination.

King closes the distance and clinches.
King tries to break the clinch but Floyd is controlling the position.
Floyd wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Floyd pulls guard effortlessly.
King lands a couple of digs.
Floyd preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Floyd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Floyd wants to get back to his feet but King is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Floyd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Floyd on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by King. King obviously looking to wear him down.
King misses with a double jab.

Nick King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
King blocks a head kick by Floyd.

Floyd instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King manages to break the clinch.
Floyd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Floyd persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.
King misses with a jab, cross combination.
Floyd tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King works the jab nicely.
Floyd moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.
Floyd shoots in but King avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A combination from King does no damage.
King fails with the takedown

and Floyd counters with a nice double leg into guard.

King lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Floyd!
Floyd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Floyd takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Floyd tries to hold on but King pushes him away.

Floyd is desperately trying to improve his position but King has a good base and remains in mount.

King looking to ground and pound but Floyd is blocking nicely.

King jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Floyd is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Floyd and King has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
King tries to score with some ground and pound. Floyd controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The ground and pound from King seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Andre Floyd has got the better of the ground game so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Floyd gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

King is looking for a kimura here.
King trying to advance position but Floyd counters by regaining guard.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Floyd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andre Floyd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Floyd winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
