Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Wyade!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wyade closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jacobs's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wyade slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wyade trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wyade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Benjamin Wyade was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Wyade rushes Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jacobs misses with a punch on the inside.

Wyade is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jacobs can't fight it off and eventually Wyade manages to take the fight to the floor. Jacobs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wyade drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jacobs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jacobs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jacobs!
Wyade wants to get back to his feet.
Wyade wants to control but Jacobs postures up.

Jacobs stands up and beckons Wyade to his feet.
Jacobs avoids the head kick by Wyade.

Wyade changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wyade tries to score with some ground and pound. Jacobs controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Wyade stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Benjamin Wyade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wyade tries to bum rush Jacobs with a series of wild strikes but Jacobs uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wyade shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wyade not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Jacobs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wyade.
Wyade passes the guard and advances to mount!
Wyade throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wyade controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wyade ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jacobs moves away.

Wyade clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Wyade's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Wyade drags the fight down to the ground.

Jacobs decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wyade, up you get!
Wyade tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacobs was well out of range. Poor timing from Wyade.

Wyade closes the distance and clinches.

Wyade is trying to trip Jacobs. He has hold of a leg but Jacobs is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wyade persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Jacobs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Jacobs is not content to let Wyade control the position.
Wyade fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Wyade decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Wyade clinches with his opponent.

Wyade manages to pull guard.
Jacobs working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jacobs is looking to stand up but Wyade won't let him.
Benjamin Wyade has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jacobs gets to his feet. Wyade looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wyade closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jacobs's guard.

Wyade got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jacobs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wyade has managed to get both his arms back between Jacobs's legs - danger averted.
Jacobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wyade postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wyade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wyade is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Wyade stands up and waves to Jacobs to follow him.
Wyade misses with a wild combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wyade shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin Wyade showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wyade changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wyade thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kevin Jacobs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jacobs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wyade circles away.

Wyade shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wyade showed some decent athleticism there.

Jacobs is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Wyade jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jacobs manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wyade takes a little break here. Jacobs wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Wyade laying and praying for a moment but Jacobs takes advantage and regains half guard.
Wyade misses with a head shot. Jacobs uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wyade throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jacobs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wyade drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jacobs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jacobs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jacobs!
Kevin Jacobs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Benjamin Wyade is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Wyade is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Benjamin Wyade comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wyade has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
