Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Soichi Nishida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakbar Shamuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soichi Nishida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soichi Nishida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakbar Shamuli!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nishida stuffs the takedown attempt from Shamuli. Shamuli gets slowly back to his feet.
Nishida leaves Shamuli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nishida throws a leg kick which misses Shamuli's front leg but catches the back leg as Shamuli tries to avoid it.
Shamuli gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nishida counters with an outside leg kick.
Soichi Nishida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakbar Shamuli.
Donk. Nishida catches Shamuli right on the button with a cross.
Nishida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shamuli's head.
Nishida leaves Shamuli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shamuli looks winded!
Nishida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shamuli pinned against the cage. Shamuli gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nishida fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Shamuli takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nishida tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Shamuli shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nishida is trying to defend but Shamuli finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Shamuli controlling the pace.
Nishida wants to get back to his feet.
Nishida is trying to maintain the position but Shamuli is very close to passing his half guard.
Shamuli is pressing down on Nishida's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nishida is holding on for now.
Nishida tries to get to full guard but Shamuli has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nishida lands a front kick.

Shamuli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nishida is trying to control Shamuli's posture but Shamuli avoids it.

Shamuli controls the position from side control.
Nishida tries to buck Shamuli off but Shamuli is having none of it.
Shamuli staying calm.

Hakbar Shamuli has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
No luck for Shamuli with that takedown attempt.

Shamuli closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Shamuli's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Nishida is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shamuli perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hakbar Shamuli will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nishida closes the distance and pushes Shamuli back into the cage.

Nishida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A thudding body kick lands there by Nishida!
Nishida scores with a kick to the midsection.
Shamuli misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shamuli gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nishida.
Shamuli doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Nishida counters with a flying knee that drops Shamuli!

Soichi Nishida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakbar Shamuli.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nishida would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Shamuli is still in real trouble! Can Nishida finish him?
Shamuli is breathing heavily.
Shamuli wants to stand up but Nishida is controlling him.
Nishida postures up in Shamuli's guard and throws a big left but Shamuli blocks it.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Shamuli is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nishida is controlling him.
Shamuli seems to have recovered his senses.

Shamuli is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nishida presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Shamuli has picked Nishida up - he's going for a ride! Shamuli dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Shamuli is taking a breather. Nishida says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nishida wants to control but Shamuli is keeping busy and won't allow it.

and Nishida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nishida sizes up Shamuli with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nishida moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Nishida lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Nishida cracks Shamuli with an open hand slap.
Nishida works the jab nicely.
Nishida is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Shamuli shoots in for a double leg but Nishida sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nishida stuffs the takedown attempt from Shamuli. Shamuli gets slowly back to his feet.

Nishida shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shamuli's guard.

Shamuli has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Nishida is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

A frustrated look appears on Nishida's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nishida wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Shamuli drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shamuli changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nishida fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Shamuli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nishida's waist but Nishida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shamuli off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Shamuli shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nishida as he jumps to the side.

and Nishida counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Shamuli takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Shamuli is trying to drag Nishida to the mat but Nishida just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Nishida wants to get back to striking at distance but Shamuli won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nishida sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Shamuli to the ground! Nishida dives into full mount looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shamuli bucks up and throws Nishida to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nishida stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nishida wants it to stay on the feet.
Shamuli goes for a double leg but Nishida avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nishida continues to drive forward.

Nishida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

And that's the end of the fight!
Soichi Nishida showed his dominance in that final round.
