Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wayde Erickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mat Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erickson dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Erickson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Erickson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Erickson.
A telegraphed right hand from Erickson misses the target.
Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Erickson misses with the combination.
Diaz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Erickson eats them both and turns towards Diaz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Erickson misses the jab.
Erickson throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Diaz throws a hook but Erickson avoids it easily.
Erickson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Diaz throws a right hand that Erickson ducks under and follows up with a left that Erickson also avoids with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Some wild striking there from Erickson.
Diaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Erickson.

Diaz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Erickson moves out of range of the strikes.
Diaz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Erickson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Erickson.
Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Erickson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Erickson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Diaz. Diaz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Diaz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Erickson rather than just go for the knockout.
Erickson misses with a series of wild punches.
Diaz lands a slapping body shot.

Erickson throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease.
Erickson is breathing heavily.
Diaz lands with a big right hook that stumbles Erickson - he's out on his feet here! Diaz follows up with another monster hook that separates Erickson from consciousness! Erickson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Diaz stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
