Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Markus Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Markus Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miguel Guerrero!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerrero darts in looking for a takedown but Quinn gets double underhooks and turns Guerrero into the cage.
Guerrero has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Quinn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Guerrero manages to break the clinch.
Guerrero looks to score with a jab to the body but Quinn is just out of range.

Guerrero pushes Quinn up against the cage in a clinch.
Quinn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Guerrero blocks it with crossed arms.
Quinn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Guerrero tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Quinn defends well and Guerrero ends up having to push Quinn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Markus Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Guerrero.

Quinn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Quinn is looking to clinch but Guerrero is avoiding it.

Guerrero throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Quinn counters with a big head kick but Guerrero shrugs it off.
Quinn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Guerrero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quinn.
Guerrero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guerrero wants it to stay on the feet.

Guerrero has closed the distance and engaged Quinn in a clinch.

Guerrero is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Quinn can't fight it off and eventually Guerrero manages to take the fight to the floor. Quinn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Quinn is working Guerrero over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Quinn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Guerrero is trying to control the position but Quinn postures up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quinn lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Quinn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Guerrero is working an open guard so Quinn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Guerrero closes the distance and clinches.

Quinn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Markus Quinn will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Quinn gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Quinn is pressed up against the cage. Guerrero has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Quinn down to the mat. Quinn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Guerrero has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Quinn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Quinn struggles to land a body shot inside as Guerrero controls his hands.

Quinn breaks from the clinch.
Quinn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Quinn leaves Guerrero with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Quinn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Guerrero tries to land knees in the clinch but Quinn avoids the damage to the body.

Quinn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guerrero's guard.

Guerrero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quinn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
You can see the frustration on Guerrero's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Quinn is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Guerrero looks calm but he's in trouble here. Quinn gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Guerrero is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Quinn lets go of the hold and Guerrero can pop his arm back in it's socket.
