PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Already Unconscious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sianleuka Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack has chosen The Highwaymen - Highwayman as his entrance music. Sianleuka Jack will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Already Unconscious!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sianleuka Jack!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unconscious avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jack tries to clinch there but Unconscious circles away.
Jack is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Unconscious.
Jack swings for the body but Unconscious moves out of range.
Unconscious misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jack.

Jack closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Unconscious manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Unconscious wants to sweep here but Jack controlling him for the moment.
Unconscious will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Unconscious has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jack wanted to stand there but Unconscious had control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Unconscious manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jack manages to get himself to full guard.

Jack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Unconscious kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Unconscious wants to pass the guard but Jack is keeping the position.
Unconscious throws and elbow that misses. Jack uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Unconscious's guard. Nice move by Jack!

Jack gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Unconscious shoots for a takedown but Jack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Unconscious closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Already Unconscious has been cut.
Jack is looking to clinch.
Jack stuffs the takedown attempt from Unconscious. Unconscious gets slowly back to his feet.
Unconscious moves out of range as Jack strikes.

Jack sizes up Unconscious with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The is referee keeping an eye on Unconscious - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jack will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Unconscious up against the cage.

Jack controls Unconscious momentarily but Unconscious frees himself.

Jack manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Jack moves in looking to clinch but Unconscious pushes him off.
Jack is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jack fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Unconscious throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Unconscious off to one side.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Unconscious has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jack finds it's way round the side to connect with Unconscious's head.

Unconscious has Jack pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Unconscious pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jack tumbling to the mat - Unconscious dives into Jack's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jack wants to get up but he can't break Unconscious's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jack is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Unconscious's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Unconscious's back!

Jack slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
I really don't envy Unconscious right now.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Unconscious is fending him off so far but Jack persists. Nope, Unconscious circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jack is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Unconscious has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
