Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patches Melone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patches Melone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melone throws a right hand that misses
and Mono counters with a nice uppercut.
Melone swats away the attempt to clinch by Mono.
Mono looks to land a left hand but Melone moved out of range nicely.
Melone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mono paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Good standup being displayed there by Mono as he connects with a hook.
Mono lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Patches Melone has been cut.
Melone goes for a double leg but Mono avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mono continues to drive forward.

Melone misses with a punch to the body.
Melone tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mono smiles and moves away.

Melone drops his hands momentarily and Mono takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mono throws a good cross that connects.
Mono keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Melone walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mono might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Mono wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Melone can't find room to land a body shot as Mono controls the action.

Mono escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mono tries to keep at a distance but Melone has taken the fight into the clinch.
Melone misses with a short punch on the inside.
Mono struggles to land a body shot inside as Melone controls his hands.
Mono looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

The fight stays on the outside here - Melone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mono lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Melone shoots in for a double leg but Mono sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mono lands with an overhand left.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mono, as that shot connected.

and Melone counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mono's guard now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mono is pulling down on Melone's head to control his posture.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Melone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mono.
Mono swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Melone.
Mono connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mono looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mono tries to close the distance and clinch but Melone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Melone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mono sprawls well. Mono wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Melone gets slowly back to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Melone.
Melone is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Melone shoots for a double leg takedown but Mono sprawls well. He's pushed Melone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Melone has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mono uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Melone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mono can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Melone has his feet on Mono's thighs here. He's pushed Mono off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mono screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
