Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willy Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Auguste Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wonka's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse. Grimm has chosen David Gilmour - There's No Way Out Of Here as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Wonka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Auguste Grimm!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grimm pinned against the cage. Grimm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wonka moves into range and clinches up with Grimm.
Wonka lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Grimm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wonka lands a glancing blow to the side of Grimm's head.


It looks like Auguste Grimm has been cut.
Wonka misses with a wild body shot.
Wonka shoots in but Grimm avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Wonka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wonka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've been hearing good reports from Wonka's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Grimm looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wonka passes into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wonka slows the pace down.

Grimm is looking to reverse the position.
Wonka moves into full mount!
Grimm's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Wonka prevents Grimm from getting the reversal.

Wonka moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Grimm has worked his arm free - good work by Grimm!
Grimm tries to bench press Wonka off him but Wonka keeps the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wonka working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Wonka swings around for an armbar but Grimm sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wonka's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grimm trying to control but Wonka is working from the bottom.

Wonka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Grimm wants to stand but Wonka is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wonka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grimm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grimm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Grimm working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Grimm wants to pass the guard but Wonka is keeping the position.
Wonka lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Wonka looking to pass the guard.
Wonka advances to half guard.
Grimm is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wonka is taking a breather. Grimm says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Grimm is trying to stand up here but Wonka is controlling him well.
Grimm slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wonka trying to control the position from guard on top but Grimm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wonka is looking to advance position but Grimm has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Wonka wants to hold on but Grimm pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grimm wants to stand but Wonka is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wonka is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Auguste Grimm's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Grimm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Grimm steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wonka.
Wonka tries to clinch but Grimm moves out of range.
Wonka misses with a looping left.
Willy Wonka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wonka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grimm moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Grimm blocks a jab.
Wonka uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grimm.
Grimm swinging wildly here.
Wonka throws a poor cross that misses

and Grimm moves into the clinch.
Wonka working aggressively here.
Wonka blocks an uppercut.
Wonka throws a head punch that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Wonka fails to land.
Wonka drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grimm pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wonka shoots in looking for a takedown. Grimm tries to sprawl out of it but Wonka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grimm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wonka throws a right hand that misses
and Wonka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grimm takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wonka closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wonka lands in his opponent's guard.

Wonka avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Grimm is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Wonka rolls with it to try and escape but Grimm cranks on the arm and Wonka is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Auguste Grimm!
Auguste Grimm decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Willy Wonka was interviewed post fight and said 'Who paid off the ref/judges? Someone must have!'.
