Spit comes to the cage accompanied by Human Insecticide. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo misses with a two punch combination.
Aldo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Aldo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spit slips a jab and a cross from Aldo.
Spit is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aldo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aldo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spit.
Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spit circles away quickly and effectively.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Spit is defended easily by Aldo.

Spit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aldo as he jumps to the side.

Aldo drops Spit with a beautiful combination! Spit stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Aldo is looking for the KO!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Spit. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aldo swings for the body but Spit moves out of range.

Spit gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Aldo.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Aldo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Spit manages to pass to side control.

Spit is looking to take a break and control but Aldo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Spit is really struggling to control Aldo but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aldo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aldo scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Spit manages to mount him!

Spit is working for a guillotine from mount but Aldo frees his head quite easily.
