Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Garvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garvey rushes Rosa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rosa tries to clinch but Garvey is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Ryan Garvey will probably get the nod.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rosa wants to get back to full guard but Garvey has passed into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garvey remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Garvey decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Garvey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rosa tries to avoid it but Garvey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rosa to the ground. Rosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rosa cracks Garvey with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Garvey is looking to improve his position but Rosa isn't that keen on the idea.
