Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi has chosen Scary as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gomi.
We've been told by Lee's head coaches at London Workout that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gomi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gomi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lee cracks a nice hook into Gomi's ribs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gomi, as that shot connected.

Gomi throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease.

Gomi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Gomi throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.

Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gomi moves away.
Gomi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lee as he jumps to the side.

Gomi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gomi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Our spies down at at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym inform us that Gomi has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Gomi is retaining full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
